William Carl Schult

William Carl Schult, 90, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away on March 20th, after a brief battle with pneumonia.


Bill was born on March 9, 1934, to Helen and William Sr. in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from High school in 1951, he began his career in the Air Force, which spanned 20 years. While in the Air Force he travelled the world and had many occupations such as aircraft mechanic, crew chief, weather reconnaissance, broadcaster, recruiter, and public affairs officer. Shortly after retirement, Bill attained his degree in Business Management and went on to a civil service career in Army recruiting and public affairs with the Army Corps of Engineers.


Bill met his wife, Pamela, in Spain in 1957. They were married in 1960 and traveled around the United States, while Bill completed his career in the Air Force. They had three children, David, Karen, and Billy. Bill worked hard and taught his children to be tough and hard-working as well. He loved fishing and sports. The Atlanta Braves were his favorite team to follow. He attended at least one game per year.


The family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. A memorial service will be held at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Maryville, Tennessee on April 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow at the Church.
